roses laptop skin

Greg added this new design to the site this week. I think it looks great. Our other flower designs, such as the Blue Night Flowers notebook skin have been massively successful.

Skinning fridges and things

Sunday, June 11th, 2006

Damien Mulley doesn’t have a laptop (except the one he uses when he is posing for photoshoots) but he’s wondering about skinning his fridge and his washing machine. Other people (occasionally) ask about skinning the cases of desktop computers. And yes, we can do anything that doesn’t get too hot and has a surface that doesn’t have too many corners on it. (The curves aren’t a problem for us, but it does make it a little trickier for you to apply the skin neatly.)

If you’d like something like this, just email customerservice@aspoke.com and we’ll get back to you with a quotation. In general terms you are looking at a cost of EUR 59 to get something custom for a standard fridge (about 850mm high, about 590mm wide). We can do something based on your design, your photographs or one of our own designs. (Imagine a kitchen full of zebra appliances!) There may be an artwork charge depending on what you want to get done. The finish is the same as our standard laptop skins. A minifridge would cost less, obviously!

Does anyone think there is a market for a standard range of appliance skins, perhaps at a lower price? It’s definitely a great way to make a b-o-r-i-n-g kitchen fun.
