We need designers !!!
We want to broaden our appeal by having a wider range of designs and we want to work with designers and artists to do this. We already have some partnerships in the works, but we would like more. To work successfully with a designer, we would like the following:
We would like to build a medium- or longish-term relationship with our designers and artists, rather than a once-off.
We would like to have designers who do something different from what we’ve done before.
If the designer or artist has some sort of track record or following, that’s a big plus. But it’s not an absolute must-have.
We have a couple of different commercial deals available, depending. One designer we are working with has set up his own shop, under his own brand. We are also talking about deals where we will sell the pictures on our own site. We are also looking at doing deals for distribution in particular territories, and other arrangements. As for the money, it depends, we give what we think is a pretty fair share of revenue to our external artists.
